TeleHealth

MMC Family Practice Clinic currently provides emotional and mental health therapy sessions in order to help people find balance. Our therapists work with adults, teens, adolescents and provide family counseling. Connecting to Care enables us to offer these services to our community via video conference. Connecting to Care is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide health services using innovative technology to connect underserved populations to care.

Our current provider is a Marriage Family Therapist, Sherie Abel, LMFT, with more than 25 years experience. Sherie has a Master's in Psychology and a Master's in School Counseling from the University of San Francisco and a California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Sherie believes in treating the whole person in the context of their family/community; and strives to give her clients many tools that they can incorporate as life skills to help them not only with the client's current difficulties or diagnoses but also to enable them to move through future life situations with confidence.

For more information regarding the TeleHealth program, contact Jon Crnkovic at (530) 233-7052.

Tele-Dermatology

Our Family Practice Clinic is now offering Tele-Dermatology! MMC is working with Direct-Derm to offer dermatology consultations to our patients.

DirectDerm helps to connect patients and referring physicians to the leading dermatologists through a secure web and mobile platform for timely, affordable consultations and accurate and comprehensive diagnoses and treatment plans.

With this program, a patient will come into the Clinic for a visit with their primary care provider who will examine them and take photos of the skin condition. The photos will be sent via electronic submission to a Dermatologist who will recommend a treatment plan to be carried out by the primary care provider. Should further dermatological assistance be needed, a referral to a local Dermatologist can be made.

Schedule an appointment with your provider to see if this service is right for you at 530-233-7052.
